Merry Christmas!
It's finally the last week of term...which means that Bedlam is only 4 days away. The most amazing night of term. Remember to get there early, as queues are very likely.
The environmental report to achieve the bronze award is almost done, the deadline for this is 19th Dec. I've started to plan for the Fair Trade fortnight happening next year in March. If you have ideas about how to raise awareness regarding fair trade and the environment, please post your comments here!
I am also hoping to get involved in SHAG week (Sexual Health Awareness week). This is happening on 9th-13th Feb 09.
Anyway, I'm sure everyone is ready for hibernation...so have a Happy Christmas and Fabulous New Year!!!

*Propaganda*
Yes, Friday is finally here! After a busy week, I am very much looking forward to going to the Firestation on Saturday for Propaganda with Zane Lowe. This is my first experience of Propaganda, so if anyone knows about dress code, etc. let me know!
Remember going to the Firestation and any other Student Union facility will help generate funds back to the students. Such as, supporting clubs and societies...so drink away (obviously, within limits!)

Exactly 4 weeks to xmas!
Hello!
Yes, its only 4 weeks until Christmas and 15 days to Bedlam, oh yeah! This week I was promoting volunteering near the SU Front door. It was quite successful and with the help of Abbi (Volunteer Rep), we gave out lots of Hub flyers and signed some people up too.
If you want to get involved with volunteering, visit theHub website. It's a great way to meet new people and it looks impressive on your cv.
I have just organised the RAG and Volunteer xmas social with Terri (RAG Social Secretary)...so now feeling very festive.
Ho ho ho

This Week!
Hello,
My name is Emily and I am a non-exec officer. I'll be using this space to keep you updated with all the Student Union activities I'm involved in...please post any comments or questions on this page and I'll get back to you.
This week I will be continuing my work with Dan (SU officer) on the environment to achieve the Sound Impact award for the union; this is to make the SU more environmentally-friendly. I am also involved with volunteering, come chat to me on Tuesday between 12-2pm by Waterstones about how you can get involved with Volunteering.
Another thing to mention, is that I am part of the Comms team. Last week we had our weekly meeting at the Lansdowne campus and gave the space a tidy. We are planning to revive the area to make it a nicer area for any students at the Lansdowne campus.
If you have any issues post them here!
Ok, over and out
